At the Praesens Foundation, created by biotech entrepreneur Dr. Rudi Pauwels, our mission is to provide access to health programs across the patient journey, from prevention to care, to communities in hard-to-reach regions and resource-limited settings.
Our vision went from a sketch to reality in less than two years; we have reached thousands of patients in the most remote areas, leveraged insights, generated evidence and proved our raison d’être through our impactful initiatives in the field in Senegal and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Thus far, we have self-funded the operations but we would now need your help to raise philanthropic and/or impact funds to scale up our solutions to improve access to healthcare services in areas regularly affected by epidemic and endemic diseases on a larger scale.

​U.S.-based donors can support our activities in a tax-efficient way through a contribution to the Praesens Foundation US at the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS). Because KBFUS is a public charity, within the meaning of Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the IRC, donors may claim the maximum tax benefits allowed by U.S. tax law for their contributions.
Gifts of cash are deductible up to 60% of adjusted gross income in the year of the contribution, with a five-year carryover for the excess not used.
